The state of Alabama has extensive resources for young girls in need. One of the best resources available is the FAMILY GUIDANCE CENTER of ALABAMA. They have so many wonderful programs available. Family Guidance Center first started serving families in 1959. They have a full range of services includes counseling, parenting education, mentoring, child care support services, adult day care, career development, job training and other therapeutic services for families.
The Juvenile Justice section offers resources that are either published or funded by the Casey Foundation.
Hope Place serves families and individuals of Escambia County with referrals, resources, support, and services. Parenting classes are available.

Medicaid is a state/federal program that pays for medical and long-term care services for low-income pregnant women, children, certain people on Medicare, disabled individuals and nursing home residents. These individuals must meet certain income and other requirements.
